A small pill (an anxiolytic, ie: Valium) is prescribed to you to take approximately one hour prior to your dental appointment. You will need to have someone drive you to our office and pick you up after your visit. By the time you arrive for your appointment, you should feel a little more relaxed and comfortable for the procedure.
This type of sedation is called conscious sedation, as you are never unconscious for the dental procedure. Oral conscious sedation is an approved sedation method of anyone over 18 years old. Please consult with our dentist regarding this method of sedation.
